THE BLOG
“Elegance is a question of personality, more than one’s clothing.”
This sentence sums up what SavvyChic is all about. Every girl loves shoes, clothes, accessories but not all girls can afford brand names for the latest styles. And that never stopped anyone from looking great. Any woman can look fabulous without spending a lot of money, all it takes is some creativity and a personal sense of style. Being fashionable doesn’t require hundreds of dollars worth of designer tags, and the biggest proof of that is that the author of the quote above is none other than Jean-Paul Gaultier.
THE AUTHOR
My name is Natalia Galbetti and I am a 20-something journalism grad student who loves fashion, styling and strongly believes they have no meaning without a personality behind it. My dream job is to be a fashion editor and if I could raid Rachel Zoe’s closet there would be nothing left after I was gone. My clothes are my babies and I think a girl can never have enough shoes. I love people who take fashion risks and despise those that think because they spent a lot of money on their outfit, it automatically makes them look good. Accessories are a girl’s best friend and I’ll take a trip to a thrift store instead of Bergdorf’s any day. If you want to be on my good side all you have to do is get me some chocolate ice cream and I would love you forever if you got me Paris Fashion Week tickets.
Congratulations on your blog!
These are two quotes that are in the same family as Mr. Gaultier’s:
“Its not money that makes you well-dressed, its understanding” – Christian Dior
“The more you know, the less you need.
Fashion fades, style is eternal” – Coco Chanel
The very last sentence by Coco Chanel is oh-so-true, gotta love it! I think that when one dresses solely for fashion ‘enslavement’ it shows and, unless we’re talking about a fashion campaign or ad, it serves the purpose of nothing but a good laugh, causing all those red fashion police ‘sirens’ to immediately go off; Especially in pictures that are looked at down the road. Now…”Style” stays with us and never expires, instead it glows and captures a certain sense of admiration and class…And that’s exactly when Dior’s quote begins to apply with a stronger ‘kick’!
Best of luck, I will keep visiting!
